untiedxstates asked: I have a D90, and a 24-70 f/2.8 at the moment, I'm picking up a prime next, but I can't decide between the Nikkor 28 f/1.8 or the Sigma 85 f/1.4 (Apparently just as sharp as the Nikkor, half the price too). I feel like you're going to tell me the 28. I've shot with the 35, and I hated it, even though I know you tell everyone to get that.

I tell most people to get the 35mm f/1.8G because of how inexpensive it is and what you can get out of it, especially for the people where that is their first lens other than a kit lens. In your case, I would recommend the sigma 85mm without a doubt. It is a great piece of glass for the money. You can’t beat that. Especially if you already have the 24-70mm focal range covered.
